Privacy & Confidentiality
1. What we collect
We collect only what is necessary to conduct and deliver your commission: your name, email address, telephone number, and the personal stories, documents, and photographs you share with us during the project. We do not use advertising trackers, third-party analytics that share data with advertisers, or any profiling technology.
2. How we use your information
Your information is used exclusively for the purpose of producing your book: scheduling interviews, conducting research, writing and designing the book, and delivering the finished copies. We do not sell, share, or transfer your personal information to any third party for marketing or any other purpose.
3. Confidentiality of your story
Your story is yours. Nothing is published, sold, listed, or shown to anyone without your written permission. A formal confidentiality agreement is available on request and is standard for all founder and institutional commissions. Even without a signed agreement, we treat all project materials as confidential by default.
4. Ownership of materials
You own all materials produced during the project: recordings, transcripts, scans, the indexed archive, and the digital master file of the finished book. These are yours permanently and without conditions. We retain no rights to reproduce or share your story.
5. Data storage and security
All project files are stored on encrypted, access-controlled systems. We use industry-standard security practices to protect your data. Physical documents and photographs returned to you are shipped via tracked, insured courier. Digital files are delivered via encrypted transfer and then deleted from our working systems, retained only in your archive.
6. Website analytics
This website uses privacy-focused analytics (Plausible or Umami) that do not use cookies, do not track individuals across websites, and are fully compliant with GDPR, CCPA, and PECR. We track aggregate page views and three specific events: clicks on the Discovery Session button, contact form submissions, and sample chapter downloads. No personal data is collected by our analytics tool.
7. Third-party services
We may use third-party services for appointment scheduling (Cal.com or Calendly) and payment processing (Stripe). These services have their own privacy policies, and we encourage you to review them. We choose services that align with our commitment to minimal data collection.
8. Contact
For any questions about privacy, confidentiality, or your data, contact us at hello@relieq.com.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Significant changes will be noted on this page with an updated date. Your continued use of our services after any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
